1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Sakhi – Connecting Hearts, An Investigative Marriage Bureau (“Sakhi”, “we”, “us”, “our”) and every person who registers for, purchases, accesses or uses our matrimonial, matchmaking, verification or investigation Services (“User”, “you”, “your”).
By registering with or using Sakhi, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. NATURE OF SAKHI SERVICES
Sakhi provides matrimonial and related professional Services, which may include:
- Matrimonial profile registration;
- Matchmaking;
- Profile search;
- Matrimonial introductions;
- Family-to-family introductions;
- Communication assistance;
- Identity verification;
- Address verification;
- Education verification;
- Employment verification;
- Marital-status verification;
- Reference verification;
- Background/profile investigation;
- Relationship-related verification services;
- Meeting coordination; and
- Other matrimonial services introduced by Sakhi.
The exact Services provided to a client will depend on the Service package selected.
3. ELIGIBILITY
You represent that:
- You are legally eligible to use the Services.
- Information supplied by you is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
- You have not knowingly concealed material information relevant to your matrimonial profile.
- You will not create a profile using another person's identity without lawful authority.
4. ACCURACY OF MATRIMONIAL INFORMATION
Users are responsible for the accuracy of information submitted to Sakhi.
This includes information relating to:
- Age;
- Marital status;
- Education;
- Employment;
- Profession;
- Income;
- Family;
- Location;
- Previous marriage;
- Children;
- Lifestyle;
- Other material matrimonial information.
Sakhi may request supporting documents or verification where appropriate.
5. INVESTIGATIVE MARRIAGE BUREAU SERVICES
Sakhi may provide investigation and verification services concerning prospective matrimonial matches.
The scope of an investigation will depend on:
- The package purchased;
- Information supplied by the client;
- Information legally available;
- The geographical area;
- Availability of reliable sources;
- Time and resources required; and
- Applicable law.
6. NO GUARANTEE OF MATRIMONIAL OUTCOME
Sakhi facilitates matrimonial introductions and verification services.
Sakhi does not guarantee that a user will find a spouse, receive a proposal, enter into an engagement, or get married.
Compatibility, attraction, family decisions, negotiations and marriage decisions remain solely with the individuals and their families.
7. INVESTIGATION DISCLAIMER
Sakhi will undertake investigations with reasonable professional care within the agreed scope.
However, no investigation can guarantee discovery of every fact about an individual.
Sakhi shall not be responsible for information that:
- Is deliberately concealed by a person;
- Is unavailable from lawful sources;
- Cannot reasonably be independently verified;
- Is subsequently changed;
- Is false information supplied by a third party; or
- Cannot reasonably be discovered within the agreed scope.
8. VERIFICATION REPORTS
Where a verification or investigation report is provided, the report is intended for the authorised client for matrimonial decision-making.
Reports should not be:
- Resold;
- Published publicly;
- Uploaded to social media;
- Used to harass another person;
- Used for unlawful discrimination;
- Used for blackmail;
- Used for intimidation; or
- Used for any unlawful purpose.
9. USER RESPONSIBILITY FOR FINAL DECISION
Sakhi provides information, introductions and verification Services.
The final decision to communicate with, meet, accept, reject or marry another person remains entirely with the user.
Users should independently satisfy themselves regarding the identity, character, compatibility, financial circumstances, family circumstances and other matters they consider important before marriage.
10. SAFETY
Users should exercise appropriate caution when communicating with or meeting a prospective match.
Sakhi may provide safety recommendations, but cannot guarantee the conduct of another individual.
Users should not:
- Send money to unknown persons;
- Share OTPs or passwords;
- Share confidential banking credentials;
- Allow unauthorised access to personal accounts;
- Meet strangers in unsafe locations; or
- Ignore reasonable safety concerns.
11. PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Users must not use Sakhi to:
- Create fake profiles.
- Misrepresent identity or marital status.
- Harass another user.
- Threaten or intimidate another person.
- Conduct fraud or financial scams.
- Seek money through false matrimonial representations.
- Collect personal information for unlawful purposes.
- Stalk or monitor another person unlawfully.
- Distribute another person's private information.
- Upload unlawful or defamatory material.
- Use Sakhi for commercial solicitation without permission.
- Circumvent security measures.
- Attempt unauthorised access to Sakhi systems.
- Use investigation reports for unlawful purposes.
12. CONFIDENTIALITY
Sakhi will handle user information according to its Privacy Policy.
Users receiving information about another matrimonial candidate must maintain reasonable confidentiality and must not publish or distribute that information without lawful authority.
13. INTRODUCTIONS
Sakhi may introduce users based on information, preferences and available profiles.
An introduction does not constitute:
- A recommendation to marry;
- A guarantee of compatibility;
- A guarantee of character;
- A guarantee of financial status; or
- A guarantee of future conduct.
14. FEES AND PAYMENT
Certain Sakhi Services may be provided against registration fees, membership fees, investigation charges, consultation charges, subscription charges or other applicable fees.
Applicable charges will be communicated before purchase.
Taxes, including applicable GST, may be charged in accordance with law.
15. REFUND AND CANCELLATION
Refund eligibility will depend upon the Service purchased and the applicable cancellation/refund policy communicated to the customer.
Where an investigation or professional Service has already commenced, fees may be non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law and the agreed service terms.
Nothing in this clause limits a consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Sakhi may use third-party providers for:
- Payment processing;
- Communication;
- Technology infrastructure;
- Identity verification;
- Data hosting;
- Analytics; and
- Other operational functions.
Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and policies.
17. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Sakhi name, logo, branding, website, application, designs, content, systems, databases, documents, investigation formats and other proprietary materials belong to Sakhi or its licensors, unless otherwise stated.
Users may not reproduce, copy, sell, distribute or commercially exploit such materials without written permission.
18. USER CONTENT
Users are responsible for content, photographs, descriptions and information submitted by them.
Users represent that they have the necessary rights and authority to submit such material.
Sakhi may remove content that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, abusive or inconsistent with these Terms.
19. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION
Sakhi may suspend, restrict or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:
- False information;
- Fraud;
- Misconduct;
- Harassment;
- Abuse;
- Non-payment;
- Violation of these Terms;
- Unlawful activity;
- Misuse of investigation Services; or
- Security concerns.
20. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sakhi shall not be responsible for losses resulting from:
- Decisions made by users;
- Personal relationships between users;
- Marriage-related disputes;
- Information intentionally concealed by another person;
- False information supplied by third parties;
- Inaccurate information that could not reasonably be verified;
- Conduct of prospective matches;
- Third-party service failures;
- Telecommunications failures; or
- Events beyond Sakhi's reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
21. INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, a user agrees to indemnify Sakhi and its directors, employees, representatives and service providers against claims arising from:
- The user's unlawful conduct;
- False information supplied by the user;
- Misuse of Sakhi Services;
- Violation of these Terms; or
- Infringement of another person's rights.

Sakhi will process grievances according to applicable law and its internal grievance procedure.
23. CHANGES TO SERVICES
Sakhi may modify, add, suspend or discontinue Services, packages or features from time to time.
Where legally required, appropriate notice will be provided.
24. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
Sakhi may update these Terms from time to time.
The updated Terms will be published through the applicable Sakhi platform.
Continued use of the Services after the effective date will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
25. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.
Subject to applicable law and mandatory consumer rights, disputes shall fall within the jurisdiction of the competent courts at:
Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India
26. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
27. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, the Privacy Policy and any specific Service Agreement or Service Order issued by Sakhi constitute the applicable agreement between Sakhi and the User concerning the Services.
